Videodrome

[edit]

Hello, I saw you tagged Videodrome as a movie based on urban legend(s). I read in the trivia of the article (without references) that in the 40's there were people thinking that tv signals could cause brain tumors, and I'm sure that it's possible to find many strange popoular stories about television and its bad influence on human minds but I think that stating that this movie is "based on urban legends" is not proper, if there aren't references about that. --Ermanon (talk) 09:33, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Third Wave Ska Merge

[edit]

Hi Ash, I'm wondering if you could give some more detail on your concerns with my merge. I posted on Talk:Ska#Merge_with_ska. Thanks! MakeBelieveMonster (talk) 15:35, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted two of your recent edits because I'm not sure you understand that Categories are a pretty blunt instrument, and therefore require proper sourcing. Adding articles to this category when the topic of atheism isn't mentioned in the article at all is specifically unhelpful, and unnecessary. The mere absence of a mention of a belief in Our Lord is insufficient to qualify for inclusion in this category. Thanks. Rodhullandemu 01:01, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for thanking me!

[edit]

Thanks for the thanks! I'm not done with the Chester Brown articles yet, either. I'm working on one for Underwater at the moment. Acidtoyman (talk) 04:18, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Creepshow, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page House of Secrets (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm Moe Epsilon. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Wes Craven because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Regards, — Moe Epsilon 09:04, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Stephen King

[edit]

Please do not add unsourced material to articles, as you did with this edit to Stephen King. As I'm sure you must know by now, Wikipedia requires material added to articles to be accompanied by citations of reliable sources. There is no mention in the article of King's religion, let alone one that is sourced. Thank you. Nightscream (talk) 05:10, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

edit waring. Three people reverted you three times. Please don't add that again

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Punisher. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

 1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
 2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

This edit seems to have been made for the sole purpose of levelling an insult towards another editor in the edit summary while avoiding the 3RR ruling. Any more edits like that and I (or any number of other editors who you are warring against) will almost certainly raise the issue at AIV who generally take a dim view of such actions. Consider thyself non-template warned. Chaheel Riens (talk) 06:57, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, can't say you weren't warned. I've brought this up at AIV. Chaheel Riens (talk) 07:05, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Devo may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

 • *[[David Kendrick]] – drums (1987–1991, live - 2003))

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
